This policy explains what we do with what you give us. It is written for the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
To make your account: you may sign in in one of two ways.
When you first add money we ask for your name and State, which are needed for our tax records. Your district, town, profession (advocate, typist, office and so on), email address and GSTIN are optional — the email may be used for messages about your account, and the GSTIN for tax invoices where they apply.
To do the work: the images you upload, the Hindi text you ask us to translate, and the details you type into the Legal Document Writer.
Automatically: the date and time of each job, its cost, and the IP address a login came from. To keep the free tries and the one-time welcome bonus fair, your browser also keeps a random identifier that is sent with each job and with a login, and we count free tries and welcome bonuses per browser and per internet connection. This is what lets us keep your account statement correct and stop misuse.
If you choose to: the opinion or suggestion you send after a job. It is seen only by the operator, together with your name and district, and is used only to improve the service.
Images are sent to our server only to be read, and are used only to produce your text. Kruti Dev Word files are converted inside your own browser and are never uploaded; only the Unicode Hindi text you choose to translate is sent to our server, one page at a time. Legal drafts are prepared on our server from fixed templates; only any special conditions you write in your own words are sent to an artificial-intelligence service provider, solely to word them properly in the draft.
We do not sell your documents or your data, and we do not use them to advertise to you.
Your recent extractions are kept in your own browser, not on our servers. What you type into the Legal Document Writer is kept in your browser for up to 12 hours so that a closed tab does not lose your work; it is removed sooner when you download the document or log out. Clearing your browser data removes all of these.
To run the service we use an artificial-intelligence service provider to read documents and generate drafts, a cloud database provider to hold accounts and balances, a hosting provider, a messaging provider for the login code, Google for confirming who you are when you choose to sign in with Google, and a payment aggregator authorised by the Reserve Bank of India for payments. Your content is processed by them for those purposes only. Some of them process data on servers outside India.
We do not publish the names of these providers. They are disclosed confidentially on written request to a customer, an auditor or a regulator.
Account details are kept while your account is in use. Accounts that are left unused are cleared automatically:
| Account | When | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Never added money | 6 months with no activity | Account and its details deleted |
| Added money at any time | 12 months with no activity | Name, mobile number, email, Google account identifier, GSTIN and address removed |
“Activity” means logging in, using any service or adding money.
The record of payments and deductions is the Company's own book of account and is kept, without your personal details, for as long as tax law requires — under GST law, six years from the due date of the annual return for the financial year concerned. It is deleted after that period.
Uploaded images and the text produced from them are not kept after the job is done, beyond what is needed to return the result to you.
You may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to close your account and remove your details. You can send that request from inside the app, under My account, or by writing to contact@durvaai.com. When an account is closed we remove your name, email, GSTIN and address; the transaction record stays, as explained above.
Please share only what a document actually requires. Avoid entering identity numbers or other sensitive details unless the document genuinely needs them.
The service is meant for advocates, typists and offices, and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Access is through your own Google sign-in or by one-time code on your own mobile number, the connection is encrypted, and the operator's console is limited to a single registered number. No system is perfect; please tell us at once if you think your account has been misused.
For any privacy question, write to contact@durvaai.com.
